Which training courses would you like to have access to as a teacher? Why? Which is, in your opinion, the best way to share good practice amongst teaching professionals? Why?

Nowadays everyone needs to be in continue formation because our society changes everytime.

As teachers we need to know everychanges and for this reason, it is necesary that we continue studying and sharing our information and our practise.
Everybody, pupils, teachers and parents help us to learn more and more things about education proces and about daily life.

As a techer of primary school I would like to do to traiming courses related to Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), because technologies are a good tool in an educational process. And we need to control the different  tools.


I would like to learn about first aid courses because we work with students and know many of the diseases they may suffer. For this reason, I think it is necessary to know how to act in every situation to stay calm and if necessary, act effectively.

And, on the other hand, I would also like to access to training courses about new methodologies like Learning Based in Projects (LBP), because I think that it is a good way to learn difference methodologies and moreover, it is good for work in a CLIL context.

As we know to do a good practise it is necesary that we share our information. I think that is the best way to amplify our knowledge and to learn more and more about our profession. To do it, we can do difference meetings, organize activities together and talk about our job, our practise and our results with our partners.

If you were not limited by the demands of the national/regional curriculum, what would you say is the most important thing you would teach your students about your subject (in a CLIL context)? How would you assess their learning?

Nowadays we need to consider the curriculum because is a document that it guides our teaching process and it shows us difference contents.

But if we had not followed we can consider other important aspects.

In my case, as a primary teacher and with my group, 2nd of Primary Education I would like to teach students to solve more situations of everyday life and to improve some themes that sometimes due to little time we explained very fast and we know that it needs work more so that students understand well.

In a CLIL context it is necessary that we consider their abilities and they are motivated and interested to learn and always we work their emotional and social intelligence because they need to grow as people and communicate their opinions, their feelings...

We need to set objectives, to use a mixture of formal and informal assessment and familiarise the learner with the assessment measures.

For this reason, we can use difference methods and techniques using a variety of tools.

In conclusion, it is necessary that we teach and assess their abilities and their communication because we should help to resolve situations of daily life. 

ELP (European Language Portfolio)

- Taking into account my personal teaching context, what would be the advantatges and disadvantages of using the ELP with my groups? 


ELP is a personal document that it contans personal experience of language learning and experience with other culture.
On the one hand, it supports the development of learner autonomy, plurilingualism and intercultural awareness and competence. And, on the other hand, it allows students to record their language learning achievements and their experience of learning and using language at school or outside school.


Howadays we live in a technological and multicultural society.
For this reason, it is necessary that as teacher we adapted our material and resources to facilitate ITC at schools.

Our students travel around the world and it is necessary that they have ELP because it facilitates their mobility in Europe.
Also, ELP has a lot of functions because it is very motivating for pupils to see their experience.

I think that ELP has a lot of advantatge in my group ( which is 2nd grade of Primary School).
On this occasion could be:
- Students can be more motivation because they can see their experience, their activities and their results. We can try to encourage that they want to improve slowly because they can see everytime their process due to ELP is a transparence process that it allows us a communicative learning using a flexible, active and useful document for students.
- We can use it as an assessment. We can find three types of evaluation: self, teacher and official exam. Official exam are know as A1, A2...this causes them to be self-critical.
- It helps to prepare students with the appropriate skills to pass different examens and to create an autonomous personality.

As tecahers it allows us to learn more about the experience of our students and their possibilities.

On other hand, if we want that our students use ELP we should teach when they are very young.
To do this, we have different models adapted to the age of the pupils and we need a lot of responsibility and work from part of students because for their it is a strange document and they need to understand very well.
 Moreover, this theme needs a lot of preparation. Teachers must know the document and know how we make a good use. It is important that we use it correctly.

ELP has three elements. On of them is language passport. It describes linguistic competence. It includes three types of assessment as I said and ir records formal qualifications.
The other component is language biography. It records what students can do, their linguistic and cultural experiences and their fosters multilingual.
And the last element is my language dossier.  In it, we can find the collection of work as selected materials to illustrate claims in the passport and biography and gather written and oral samples too.

It is very important that we begin to introduce the ELP in the classroom because it offers many advantatge.
Also, ELP gives us the opportunities to use new tecnhologies and to prepare our students for everyday life,
For this reason we need to make a change in schools and introduce the ELP.
